The blogging world is still relatively new to me. It all started with my husband setting up Google Reader for me, I think less than two years ago. The list of blogs that I follow are slowly increasing, but here are the ones that I find myself clicking on first. I love discovering new ones! So please share your favorites too.

The Larissa Monologues: Food, Family, Lifestyle. The first blog I ever started following, written by my good friend, Larissa. I get inspired all the time from her blog, from her homemade vanilla extract to developing habits. I feel like I’m being mentored by Larissa via her site. She also has incredibly cute kids, I can’t get enough of those posts!

101 Cookbooks: Food. Heidi is all about cooking whole foods from natural ingredients. I love learning about new ingredients and hearing about her own discoveries in the kitchen. She’s also my go-to source for all things lentil soup!

Cannelle et Vanille: Food and photography. Oh my goodness, the food photography here is AMAZING. This is one of the only blogs that I just won’t read on my i-phone, the screen isn’t big enough to capture all of Aran’s incredibly beautiful photos. I haven’t actually tried any of her recipes, but am totally inspired by the ingredients she cooks with. Her blog also makes me want to live on an orchard or a farm. What’s new.

Sprouted Kitchen: Food. This blog grew on me. The photography is awesome, but I mainly started following more because I enjoyed Sarah’s voice. Like 101 Cookbooks, she uses natural ingredients. I love seeing through the blog what’s in season and getting ideas for how to pull amazing flavor out of seemingly blah vegetables.

Kendi Everyday: Fashion. I recently discovered fashion blogs, and Kendi is by far my absolute favorite. I love the way that she mixes and matches things that I wouldn’t think could work. I think this blog has single-handedly contributed to my outfits having gotten far cuter these days!

Merrick’s Art: Style, Sewing, Life. As the owner of a new sewing machine, I find myself wanting to re-purpose things all the time. But I have no idea how to do it. Merrick is an awesome seamstress and gives tutorials on how to do projects that I would actually want to do myself.

Joy the Baker: Food. Alright, it’s gotten be one last food one, since these are the blogs I follow the most. Joy just makes me want to eat cookies, lots of them. She’s a master at baking and creating the most interesting and delicious looking foods ever. Maybe this is a dangerous one to be following while I’m pregnant, but I can’t look away!

  1. I love your blog too, Sarah! Also, I pretty much follow all those same blogs aside from Merrick’s Art. Now I have that to add to my reader 🙂

What do you think?
